Neurac Treatment Method
Neuromuscular activation
STAND TALL uses a unique treatment method calledNeurac (Neuromuscular Activation). Neurac aims at stimulating deactivated and weak muscles, restoring normal function and reducing the strain on other muscles.
Neurac was developed in Norway as a unique and effective concept for functional training.
Neurac is based on the sling principle. One or more slings and elastic cords are attached to the ropes suspended from the device, providing several points of support.
The idea of Neurac is to try to systematically regain or improve diminished functionality. This treatment is especially suited to improve "local" stabilization, sensorimotor function, and guided home exercises.
"I have had two total hip replacements and two total knee replacements so I have had many physical therapists. I am now being treated for spine surgery and Kirsten at Stand Tall Physical Therapy is by far the best therapist I have ever had. She is kind, considerate, compassionate; yet very firm. She expects you to do what she advises and helps you to achieve your goals. Her equipment is very innovative and modern. Her “hands on” therapy is excellent."Betty – August 2007
